It’s a record of the decisions you make about how you want to use your budget to have the life that you want. Once you know how much money you have, you can start to think about how to use it to achieve the life you want. These pages will help you put together a successful support plan.

Important information before you start:
- Your support plan needs to be signed off by your Local Authority or Health Authority. There are seven criteria that your support plan will need to meet to be signed off. You may want to check with your care manager to see if your Authority has any additional criteria that you need to meet.
- There are six ways that you can manage your money.
- There are some things that you can and cannot spend your money on. You may also want to check with your care manager to see if your Authority has any other restrictions.
